Privacy Policy
PaperDenDen (“the app”) is an offline PDF and image tool provided by PaperDenDen Studio, an individual developer. Our principle is simple: if we don’t need data, we don’t collect it. This policy explains how the app and this website (paperdenden.com) handle data.

Your files
Files you open, process and save with the app are handled entirely on your own computer. Files are processed completely offline; files and document contents are never uploaded to us or to any third party, and we cannot see them.
The app never overwrites your original file. Results are always saved as new files.
What the app stores
The app does not collect usage data and contains no ads or trackers.
The app stores your interface language and preferences on your computer. This data is not sent anywhere.
The desktop app keeps an encrypted record of your license status on your computer (trial or purchased, the trial end time, and a time record used to detect a clock that is incorrect or has been changed) so that it also works offline. This data stays on your computer and contains no files, document contents or account data.
Purchase, trial and license (desktop)
The desktop app is sold through the Microsoft Store. Purchases, trial status and license checks are handled by Microsoft; only your purchase status is checked, and no files or document contents are sent.
Payment details are handled by Microsoft and never reach us. For how Microsoft handles your data, see the Microsoft Privacy Statement (privacy.microsoft.com).
The “Report a problem” button
Only when you press it does your browser open this website. The link carries no data.
This website
This website is served by Cloudflare. To deliver pages, Cloudflare processes connection information such as IP addresses; see the Cloudflare Privacy Policy (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy).
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see aggregate numbers such as page views, visits and countries of origin. It does not use cookies, and we do not use it to identify individuals.
This website remembers the language you choose in your browser’s local storage. This is not sent to us.
Apart from strictly necessary security cookies that the contact form’s anti-bot check (Cloudflare Turnstile) may use, this website uses no tracking or analytics cookies and shows no ads.
Problem reports and contact
When you use the contact form on the Help page of this website, we receive the email address, type, language (for translation reports), Windows and app versions, and message you enter. The form takes no attachments; please do not include document contents or other personal information. You can also email [email protected], in which case we receive your email address and message.
The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that the sender is not a bot; for this, Cloudflare processes your IP address and browser information. Form messages are forwarded by Cloudflare to our support mailbox (Gmail), which Google stores for us.
For how Cloudflare handles Turnstile data, see the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum (cloudflare.com/turnstile-privacy-policy).
We use this information only to reply to you, improve the product and keep records. We do not sell it or use it for advertising. Our legal bases are taking steps at your request (answering your message) and our legitimate interests in keeping the website secure, improving the product and keeping records.
Where it is processed: we process this information in Taiwan. Cloudflare and Google run servers in the United States and other countries, so the information is transferred outside your country or region and handled under each provider’s data protection measures. Our support mailbox currently uses a personal Gmail account.
How long we keep it: up to 2 years after your matter is resolved, then it is deleted. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
Your rights: at any time, through the contact form or by email to [email protected], you can ask to access or view your personal information, get a copy, have it completed or corrected, restrict or stop its processing or use, or have it deleted, and you can object to its processing. If you are in the European Union or another region where it applies, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Giving us this information is your choice, but without an email address and a message the form cannot be sent and we cannot reply to you.
